Proof of age (birth or baptismal certificate) is required for first time players and those players who have not participated in the HSYSA program in prior years.

2008 Registration Fees (age as of July 31, 2008)
$30 (4 & 5 year olds)
$40 (6-11 year olds)
$50 (12-18 year olds)

The cut-off date used in determining what age group each child will play in is July 31st of the registration year. Example: A child born in August 1997 would be considered a nine year old. A child born the same year, but on or before July 31, would be considered a ten year old. If you would like your child to play up in the next age group, you must submit a written request along with their registration form. Fees are not refundable.
Fee Discount

A fee discount will apply to those families with four or more children. The fourth child, regardless of age, will pay only $6.00. All players must be registered at the same time to qualify for the discount. The fee will be computed to the lowest possible amount. Example: (2) two 6 to 11 year olds at $40, (1) one 5 year old at $30, and (1) one 16 to 18 year old at $6 = $116

Registration Deadline
The registration deadline is Saturday, February 9, 2008. Player registrations received after this date will be placed on a team if space is available, no registrations will be accepted after February 29, 2008. A $10.00 late fee per family, in addition to the registration fee, will be required for all players placed on a team after the registration deadline.
Tentative Schedule

Co-ed (4 & 5 year olds) May, 2008 Tuesday or Thursday
Boys (6 through 11yrs) May, 2008 Monday/Wednesday
Girls (6 through 11yrs) May, 2008 Tuesday/Thursday

Ages 4 thru 11 will play at either Akzo Nobel Sports Complex in Howard, Idlewild Park in Suamico or Calavera Springs Community Park in Suamico.
Boys and girls 12 years and up are scheduled by the County SAY with days and locations to be determined. Games usually begin in June after school is out.

Coaches will receive their rosters in late April and will contact you with a exact start date.

Coach Volunteers Needed
Please consider coaching your child's team. Experience is not necessary. HSYSA provides training to coaches at all experience levels. If you are interested in coaching, please contact Corey Klepp . If a team is without a coach, we will contact parents of that team asking for volunteers.
Team Sponsors Needed

We are looking for team sponsors again this year. If your company is interested in sponsoring a team for $125, please contact Scott Ericson.
Team Selection

All teams are selected by a"blind draft", which may be supervised by the SAY franchise association. Requests for friends to be on the same team will not be honored. Siblings of the same sex/age group will be put on the same team.

Playing Down
A child may be considered to play down in an age group in special cases of physical disadvantage. All such requests must have professional documentation verifying the extent of the disadvantage.
Equipment

All children are required to wear shin guards (with soccer socks over the guards) and soccer shoes (with the exception of 4 and 5 year olds - tennis shoes are acceptable). It would be helpful if your child brought a soccer ball for practice drills.

In 2007, over 1000 children from Howard/Suamico registered with our organization. Hundreds of volunteer hours go into the planning and organization of this program.
